Four Roses to Introduce a New Spirit - Four Roses Small Batch Select

Four Roses Distillery has announced a new spirit to their permanent lineup of brands with the introduction of Four Roses Small Batch Select, their first new permanent product in over 12 years.

From Four Roses Master Distiller Brent Elliott:

“We wanted to add something to our lineup that brings that pure experience you get with a non-chill filtered Bourbon, while also showcasing some of our recipes and flavors that aren’t as forward facing in our other existing bottles. 

While Small Batch Select can certainly be one of your special occasion Bourbons, we want it to be more accessible so you don’t hesitate to open up that bottle and enjoy it any time.”

The tasting notes are:

Nose: Raspberries, clove and nutmeg.
Taste: Apricot, ripe berries, vanilla and light oak.
Finish: Spearmint and a touch of cinnamon.

This new brand will be non-chill filtered and bottled at a 104 proof. Each of the small batches will be aged for an average of 6-7 years. Availability is expected in the Spring and will be for sale initially in Kentucky, New York, California, Texas, and Georgia with other locations to follow. No MSRP was given.
