Reservoir Distillery Introduces Hunter & Scott Rye Whiskey

Virginia based Reservoir Distillery has announced a new product to their lineup in Hunter & Scott Rye Whiskey. This new rye comes with a 90 proof (45% alcohol), an MSRP of $49.99, and a mash bill comprising of all Virginia-grown 67% rye and 33% wheat.

2019 Father's Day Gift Guide - Gifts for the Bourbon and Whiskey Loving Dad

Old Forester Rye Review

Welcome to the review of Old Forester Rye. We wrote about this when it was announced and scored a bottle while on vacation in Illinois. We're hitting this review with high expectations as Old Forester Bourbon is one of our favorite moderately priced bourbons for many of us here at ColumbusBourbon.com.

Buffalo Trace Announces New Bottling Available for Charities

Buffalo Trace has announced new bottles that will benefit various charities across the country. As you may know, Buffalo Trace has the world's only bonded single barrel aging warehouse. This means that they have a warehouse dedicated to one barrel that is certified by the government (bonded). They use this to hold their special barrels. Starting in 2008, this held their 6 millionth barrel produced.... however, in 2018, they had to make room for their 7 millionth barrel... this meant the previous barrel needed to be moved to a another warehouse to continue to mature.

Buffalo Trace has now determined that it is time to begin bottling the 6 millionth barrel in limited edition 375ml bottles going exclusively to non-profit organizations for fundraising opportunities. The barrel produced 400 bottles that will be given free to charge to charities in order to auction off to raise money.

Master Distiller Marianne Eaves Departs Castle & Key Distillery

Castle & Key distillery and Master Distiller Marianne Eaves have announced through Instagram posts that master distiller Marianne Eaves is departing the company. If you are unfamiliar with Castle & Key, we did a write up you can read here.

Heaven's Door Announces Two New Limited Release Whiskeys

Tennessee Distiller Heaven's Door has announced the release of their 10 Year Old 100 Proof Tennessee Straight Bourbon.

Bardstown Bourbon Company has announced their first bourbon called Bardstown Bourbon Fusion Series #1. This new bourbon is a blend of Bardstown Bourbon Company's estate-made, two-year-old wheat and high-rye bourbons, with an 11-year-old sourced Kentucky bourbon.
