This month I posted 16 unique articles! The site saw a new record of over 28,500 page-views. Up from the previous record of 27,122 views in September and up over 475% from the 4941 views in October of 2019.

The Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Delaware County has announced a star-studded virtual event called the First Annual Big Night of Bourbon happening on Friday, November 13th and featuring Woodford Reserve Master Distiller Chris Morris.  

Wheel Horse Whiskey Announces Flagship Bourbon

Latitude Beverage Co. owned brand Wheel Horse has announced a new flagship bourbon that will be hitting stores in select states later this year (sadly, Ohio is not one of them). This bourbon is a collaboration with Owensboro Distilling Company (formerly O.Z. Tyler) and follows the release of the Wheel Horse Rye that was announced in January.

Big news! I was featured in the October 25th Sunday edition of the Columbus Dispatch by Patrick Cooley. The article was about the people who camp out at various liquor stores to get first dibs on rare bottles when they are unloaded from the supplier (spoiler alert... they are the worst). I'm gonna be famous!!

Beam Suntory Announces Blended Whisky 'Ao'

Beam Suntory has announced a new whiskey blended of whiskey from five distilleries across five countries (Japan, Scotland, Ireland, Canada, and the US) called Ao. It will be available exclusively at to global travel retail (e.g. duty free shops at airports).

Michter's Announces New 25 Year Bourbon

Michter's has announced the release of a new 25 Year Bourbon hitting shelves this November. This release marks the first bottling of Michter's 25 Year Bourbon since 2017.

Woodford Announces Woodford Reserve Baccarat Edition

Woodford Reserve has announced the Woodford Reserve Baccarat Edition for those with more money than sense. This release is created by 'uniquely finishing the most complex and balanced Kentucky Bourbon in select XO Cognac barrels' and then bottling in a in a bespoke Baccarat decanter.

Penelope Bourbon Announces Rosé Cask Finish

Newish formed Penelope Bourbon (founded in 2018) has announced a bourbon finished in French rosé wine casks hitting retailers in mid-October. For those unfamiliar with Penelope (myself included), they source their bourbon from Indiana-based MGP and then blend the bourbon at Castle & Key. 

Old Grand Dad 114 Review

Welcome to the review for Old Grand Dad 114. This is a product that is relatively new to Ohio so excited to give this one a try. I couldn't find a website for Old Grand Dad so some of the information isn't available.

New York based distillery Kings County has announced the release of a new 7-year single barrel bourbon to coincide with their 10th birthday. This is the first release in a new series of single barrel whiskeys that will be released.
