Heaven Hill Distillery has announced a 13-Year-Old Single Barrel bourbon to celebrate their 85th anniversary. This release is bottled at 107 proof (53.5% alcohol) to match their original proof back in 1935.
President Max L. Shapira states:

Our steadfast commitment to quality and an enduring legacy continues to guide Heaven Hill’s path forward. We look forward to Lifting America’s Spirit for the next 85 years, as we have since 1935.
The 85th Anniversary comes in a tall 750ml bottle placed in a custom wooden box bearing two H’s on each side signifying the Heaven Hill name. The bottle is secured in the box with a magnetic closure and sits in a blue satin-lined base.
The release will be available at the Bourbon Heritage Center and select Kentucky retailers. No pricing or tasting notes were provided.
My Take
Although no pricing information was provided, a quick internet search showed this in the $250-$400 range, which is a lot of money for the average consumer. This is a really cool release and I'm sure it's extremely limited and rare, but given the amount of work it would take to track this down, it's going to be a hard pass for me.
