Announcement: Current Email Subscription Service being Discontinued in July
In some sad news, Google notified me that their FollowByEmail widget will be discontinued in July. In the meantime, I'll be trying to find a new email option for those interested. Obviously, it needs to be one where there is privacy, security, and no 3rd party selling or anything like that. If you know of any like that, drop a note in the comment box below.
TL:DR
If you current get updates from the site via email, Google is removing that functionality in July. In the meantime, I'll be on the lookout for a new subscribe by email option, but you'll need to sign up again once that is in place.

Blanton's, Eagle Rare, and E.H. Taylor Lottery Breakdown
The State has announced the winners of the latest bourbon lottery. Per usual, my wife and I continued our streak of not winning. I'm always curious about what the odds are for the lotteries so I reached out to OHLQ for the final numbers...
Happy Friday. Do you have the final numbers for the number of entries for each lottery as well as the number of bottles available?
The response didn't directly answer my question... they responded simply by saying 'Entry: 59,974 with 1704 bottles available... this didn't address the number of entries for each lottery because technically, each lottery could be entered independently. Alas.

A YouTube Recommendation - Cocktail Chemistry
There is so much great content available today, it's often difficult to find new or interesting places and people. Thankfully, I'm here to help with one of my favorites from YouTube and some of my favorite videos.
The channel is Cocktail Chemistry and features the mixologist Nick making different variations of different drinks. The premise is super simple, but executed flawlessly. We'll start with the recreated 'Peppermint Patty' from Archer.

OHLQ Announces Blanton's, Eagle Rare, and E.H. Taylor Lottery Winners
The Ohio Department of Liquor has posted the results of the 2021 Blanton's, Eagle Rare, and E.H. Taylor Lottery. Sadly, for the second lottery in a row, there was a Mark R on the winners list, but it wasn't me.
You can click here to see the entire winners list. I've reached out to OHLQ for additional details on how many entries were received and will have more analysis when I hear back.
Congrats to all the winners.

Heaven Hill Announces Spring 2021 Old Fitzgerald Bottled-in-Bond Bourbon
Heaven Hill has announced the Spring 2021 edition of Old Fitzgerald Bottled-in-Bond Bourbon. This edition comes in at 8 years old... and, since it's bottled-in-bond, the proof is set to 100 (50% alcohol). As you may know, for something to be labeled as bottled-in-bond, it must be the product of a single distillery from a single distilling season, aged a minimum of four years, and bottled at 100 proof or 50% alcohol by volume.

Ben & Jerry's partners with WhistlePig on new ice cream flavor called "Whiskey Biz"
American icons Ben and Jerry's has partnered with fellow Vermont company WhistlePig Whiskey to create a new booze-infused flavor called 'Whiskey Biz.' The Whiskey Biz Topped flavor is a brown butter bourbon ice cream with blonde brownies & WhistlePig Whiskey-infused caramel swirls, topped with white chocolatey ganache & white fudge chunks.
