Continuing in the success of the inaugural event last year, Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Delaware County has announced the second annual Big Night of Bourbon. This year's event is featuring Old Forester Bourbons (Old Forester Signature 100 Proof, 1870 and 1910) and will include a keynote tasting from Brown-Forman Brand Ambassador, Pete "Whiskey Pete" Wagner. The event will be hosted by NBC4's Matt Herchik.
Last year's event raised over $32,000 for Big Brothers/Big Sisters (BBBS) with over 300 attending. This year, they are hoping for 500 attendees. Due to the ongoing pandemic, this year's event will be virtual, but they are encouraging participants will have in-home group parties to celebrate this fun event together! My Take
I had the privilege to attend the event last year hosted by NBC4's Matt Barnes featuring Woodford Reserve Master Distiller Chris Morris and it was well put together and informative. The swag bag was top notch with more bourbon that I was expecting and having Chris Morris guide the tasting and answer questions was really cool. I'm excited for this year and hearing more about Old Forester and hearing from Brown-Forman Brand Ambassador, Pete "Whiskey Pete" Wagner.
For slightly more than the cost of a decent bottle of bourbon, we get a unique opportunity to learn about bourbon (and Old Forester) while also helping an amazing charity here in Central Ohio. This is one I highly recommend buying a ticket for.
