Boone County Distilling has announced a new limited released called Toasted Cask Finish. This is bourbon finished for an extra three months in their toasted American oak bourbon barrels.
Brown-Forman owned brand Old Forester has announced the latest release in their 117 Series called Extra Extra Old. This is made up of their 1910 Bourbon aged an additional 24 months in a second barrel.

Pernod Ricard owned brand Jefferson's Bourbon has announced an investment of $250 million over five years to build a carbon neutral distillery, with related aging warehouses in Marion County, Kentucky.
Like 2021, 2020, 2019 and 2018, the The Ohio Division of Liquor Control (OHLQ) has announced the Pappy Van Winkle and Buffalo Trace Antique Collection bottle lottery. This is a lottery to win the opportunity to purchase a hard to find bottle of select Buffalo Trace products at retail prices. The 2022 edition began today at 12:01 a.m. (Monday, Dec. 12) and runs through 11:59 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 19.
The Ohio Department of Liquor (OHLQ) has announced additional single-barrel offerings for release on Saturday, December 10 at 9:00 A.M. across more than 200 locations throughout the state. These include Buzzard's Roost, NULU, Traverse City Whiskey Company, and Kentucky Peerless.
Showing there is nothing she won't do for a nickel, Marianne Eaves has teamed up with Guy Beahm (also known as influencer Dr DisRespect) to launch Black Steel Bourbon. As you may know, Guy Beahm is also known for getting banned from Twitch for livestreaming in a public bathroom (pic from the video below) and then eventually banned completely from the platform.

Columbus based Watershed Distillery has announced the dates for its annual NocinoFest – Saturday, December 3 from 11 am to 3 pm. This year, they will debut a brand new, limited time offering this year at the event—Black Walnut Old Fashioned.
Hemingway Whiskey Company today announced the launch of Hemingway Rye Whiskey First Edition with the release of the inaugural 972 bottles. This initial offering is a blend of straight rye whiskeys finished in rum seasoned Oloroso Sherry casks. This brand is inspired by American author, journalist, and storyteller Ernest Hemingway.

Nearest Green Distillery, makers of the Uncle Nearest brand has announced three new permanent expressions. Those are: Uncle Nearest Straight Rye Whiskey, Uncle Nearest Single Barrel Black Label, and Uncle Nearest Single Barrel Rye.
Beam Suntory owned brand Maker's Mark has released two new exclusive bourbons for sale at Global Travel Retail (GTR). This new series is supposed to 'capture the character of the world's most enchanting locations.' The first two cities are New York City and Sydney with new limited release cities planned over the next few years.
MGP owned Lux Row has announced Old Ezra 7-Year Straight Rye Whiskey with a limited allocation of 3,000 six-pack cases.
The Ohio Division of Liquor Control (OHLQ) has announced the release of thirty (30!!) barrels of Yellowstone Hand Picked Series (8 barrels), Yellowstone Select Single Barrel (5 barrels), and George Remus Bourbon Bottled in Bond (17 barrels) appearing in stores this week (week of November 7th).

Angel's Envy has announced the 11th release of their annual cask strength. This year is their bourbon aged for up to 14 additional months in Port Wine casks. This release includes 16,980 bottles and will be available in all 50 states for an MSRP of $229.99.
The Ohio Division of Liquor Control (OHLQ) has announced the release of five barrels of High Bank Whiskey War Double Oaked appearing in stores this week (week of October 31) for $69.99 + tax.

Michter's has announced that the 2022 bottling of their 20-year bourbon will begin shipping to retailers starting in November.
The Ohio Division of Liquor Control (OHLQ) has announced an upcoming lottery for bottles of Willett Family Estate Single Barrel Bourbon and Rye. The lottery will begin at 8:00 a.m. on October 24 and end at 8:00 p.m. on October 28th. Bottles may only be picked up from a select set of 16 stores (details below). Per the announcement page: 'Please note: while you may enter for any or all products at any or all locations, you are only eligible to win the right to purchase one bottle from one location.'
It's unclear if selecting more stores increases your odds of winning. I have a question out to OHLQ and will update this if I hear back.
Not to be outdone by Arby's big bourbon announcement, Dr. Pepper has announced the release of a new limited-edition non-alcoholic beverage, Dr Pepper Bourbon Flavored Fansville Reserve.

In what reminds me of an 11 year old mixing flavors of pop (yes, pop... not soda or coke) at Burger King, Beam Suntory brand, Basil Hayden has introduced Bourbon finished in a Red Wine Cask.

Campari Group owned brand Wild Turkey has announced a new limited release titled Master's Keep Unforgotten. This release is a high proof, extra-aged variation of Wild Turkey Forgiven (which is a discontinued limited release). The premise is that the original Forgiven release was a mistake by mixing a young rye and mature bourbon.
Redemption Whiskey has announced their latest release with Redemption Sur Lee Straight Rye Whiskey. This release utilizes a first-of-its-kind whiskey-making technique inspired by the French sur lie winemaking process

Fortuna Brands, which operated from the late 1800's until the mid 1960's, has been revived and will re-enter the US market for the first time in over 50 years. It is being revived by the people behind Rare Character, which was founded in 2021 by Pablo Moix and Peter Nevenglosky. With the Fortuna brand, they have added Andy Shapira, who gained experience and insight at Heaven Hill.
Maker's Mark has announced their fourth Wood Finishing Series with the release of BRT-01 & BRT-02. The BRT refers to their process of hand-barrel rotation (BRT). BRT-01was 'inspired' by the top of the warehouse, which has higher temperatures and BRT-02 was 'inspired' by the bottom, where it is much cooler.
Blade and Bow has announced a 2022 release of the 22 year-old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey coming to select states (sadly... not Ohio) and the Stitzel-Weller Distillery.

Angel's Envy has announced that they have hired renowned beard grower, Owen Martin as Master Distiller beginning on October 17. Martin is the first appointed Master Distiller of Angel's Envy since co-founder and Master Distiller Lincoln Henderson's passing in 2013.
In what reads like an press release from The Onion, The Ohio Division of Liquor Control has advised consumers NOT to participate in secondary liquor sales. These are sales that "often occur on the internet including on social media websites such as Facebook and other sites such as Craigslist. Typically, sellers will purchase bottles of liquor and turn around to resell them."
I've been sick all week so I didn't have an opportunity to write about the OHLQ Old Elk release... however, I do want to get a quick article out regarding an Old Elk bottle signing with Master Distiller Greg Metze from Old Elk Distillery. Big thanks to reader Greg S. for sending the info.
