Campari Group owned brand Wild Turkey has announced a new limited release titled Master's Keep Unforgotten. This release is a high proof, extra-aged variation of Wild Turkey Forgiven (which is a discontinued limited release). The premise is that the original Forgiven release was a mistake by mixing a young rye and mature bourbon.
Wild Turkey's Master Distiller Eddie Russell says:The Master's Keep Series was started in 2015 and is highlighted by experimenting with aging techniques and finishes. Unforgotten comes in at 105 proof (52.5% alcohol). It is a combination of 13-year-old bourbon and 8- & 9-year-old rye and carries a $200 MSRP.Twelve years ago, I tasted the result of the distillery mishap that would become Wild Turkey Forgiven and was amazed. It was unlike anything I had ever tasted before, and I knew we had stumbled upon something special. Master's Keep Unforgotten pays homage to this happy accident, perfected with a secondary rye barrel aging in our pre-prohibition Rickhouse B – the favorite of my father, Master Distiller Jimmy Russell.

My Take
This sounds like a really cool release and the price isn't outrageous. Your best bet on finding this is probably online or directly at the distillery. If I saw this, I would buy a bottle and save for special occasions or keep out on display as the bottle looks really cool.
