Boone County Distilling has announced a new limited released called Toasted Cask Finish. This is bourbon finished for an extra three months in their toasted American oak bourbon barrels.
This release comes in at 116.8 proof (58.4% alcohol) and carries a price of $59.99. It is available at the distillery now, and select Kentucky retailers soon. It carries the following flavors: toasted oak, vanilla and toasted caramel. My Take
Three months doesn't sound like very much extra aging, but I'm sure it adds something. This is probably one I would pass on and buy one of the other double oaked varieties. It's nice they tried this, but seems like too short of a time in the secondary barrel for me to spend my money on.

I think you should try it first instead of imagining how it tastes
